“Prior to checking on the welfare of the male, (the) officer observed an AK-47 Rifle and an M & P handgun on the front passenger seat of the vehicle,” Zappala alleged. “(The) officer ran Tautkus’ information through dispatch and was advised that Tautkus was the defendant in an active protection order out of the 6th Circuit Hillsborough Family Court which had a condition that he could not possess firearms.”
The firearms were seized and Tautkus was arrested and held without bail. He’ll be arraigned tomorrow.
