GoFundMe Effort Set Up For Murdered Plymouth State University Elementary Education Student

The money is being raised for Leah Anderson's family to offset financial burdens during this difficult time.

PLYMOUTH, NH — A GoFundMe fundraiser has been created for the family of a Plymouth State University student who was killed on Monday.

Leah Anderson, 21, of Thornton, an elementary education student at the university, was shot and killed on June 8. Her brother, Logan, 18, also from Thornton, was arrested on a single second-degree murder count.

Marley Huerta set up the fundraiser for the family on Wednesday, with a goal of $35,000.

“Leah’s presence brought light to those around her,” she wrote. “Her genuine care for others, infectious smile, and unwavering kindness created countless memories that will never be forgotten. She leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, and compassion that will continue to inspire everyone whose life she touched.”

At the time of publication, more than $21,000 had been raised.
