Good Luck, And Thank You, Lt. Buelte: Watch
Lt. Rob Buelte, a watch commander and former detective with the Concord Police Department, retired Friday after 27 years in law enforcement.
CONCORD, NH — A long-time Concord Police Department employee has retired.
Lt. Rob Buelte, who worked in law enforcement for nearly 30 years, retired on Friday. Many of his colleagues and family were on hand for the send-off outside police headquarters.
Deputy Chief John Thomas of the Concord Police Department said Buelte had been involved in several important cases in the city. He has been commended a number of times due to his police work at the department. Buelte was police officer of the year in 2016.

“It’s a major loss for the agency and community,” Thomas said. “He gave 27 years … he is probably one of the most passionate supervisors we’ve had (in recent years). Rob had a lot of specialties that we are losing with him retiring.”
Thomas said Buelte’s retirement was a loss to the department. At the same time, he had earned it.
