Gymnastics Coach Arrested for Sexually Assaulting a Minor

Cameron Beaton of Epsom was arrested after police investigated an alleged isolated incident at a local gym.

A local man is facing a sexual assault count after an alleged incident with a child last month, according to Hooksett Police.

Cameron Beaton, 23, of Epsom, was arrested at around 2 p.m. on Nov. 6, 2015, on a single count of aggravated felonious sexual assault.

According to investigators, late last month, police began looking into a sexual assault allegation involving Beaton and a minor child, according to a report. The alleged crime occurred at USA Ninja Challenge, a gymnastics facility for children where Beaton is employed as a coach, and has since been placed on leave.

“This case was fast moving and we want the public to be aware that this incident appears to be isolated to this location, but we want to encourage anyone who thinks they may have knowledge about this suspect or this case to contact Hooksett Police Detectives at 603-624-1560,” Chief Bartlett said in a statement on Facebook.

Beaton was charged with one count of aggravated felonious sexual assault, a Class-A felony. He was released on $4,000 personal recognizance bail, with conditions prohibiting him for employment or volunteering at any facility involving minor children.

Beaton will be arraigned at the 6th Circuit Court in Hooksett on Dec. 16.
