Hassan Announces Inauguration Plans
Events to celebrate New Hampshire landmarks, products, and culture; website re-launched; committee named.

Gov. Maggie Hassan today announced details on plans for her second inauguration as New Hampshire’s 81st Governor, including a series of events to engage citizens from across the state and celebrate the landmarks, products, and culture that make New Hampshire unique.
Hassan will take the oath of office as Governor of New Hampshire on Thursday, Jan. 8, at the State House in Concord. Following the ceremony, the Governor will host a State House Open House to greet citizens from across the state. Additional details on the open house will be released closer to the event.
The Inaugural Committee will host the Governor’s Inaugural Ball on Saturday, Jan. 10, at the Radisson Hotel in Manchester. The committee will also hold a North Country Ball on Friday, Jan. 16, at the Omni Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods.

To keep the public informed about inauguration activities, the committee has re-launched a website, hassaninauguration.org, which will also provide online ticketing for events.
“Our democratic process in the Granite State is special because the people of New Hampshire engage with you, tell you their priorities, and encourage elected officials to work together to solve problems,” said Hassan. “I am proud of all that we have accomplished over the past two years for New Hampshire’s people, businesses and economy, and I look forward to continuing to work with members of both parties and all of our people to build on our shared progress to expand opportunity for all Granite Staters and keep our economy moving forward.”

“With our theme of celebrating New Hampshire, the inaugural events will highlight the landmarks, products, and culture that make the Granite State unique,” said Inaugural Committee Director Marc Goldberg. “The State House Open House will feature activities for Granite Staters of all ages, and we invite citizens from across New Hampshire to come take advantage of our open and accessible state government.”
Governor Hassan also announced the formation of her Inaugural Committee, which is working to organize and plan the inauguration.
The committee will be co-chaired by Alan Reische of Manchester, Anna Grace Holloway of Rye, Fred Seigel of North Hampton, and Tom Raffio of Bow.

Since entering office, Hassan has worked to solve problems the New Hampshire Way – bringing together Republicans, Democrats and independents to address long-standing challenges and get things done for New Hampshire’s people, businesses, and economy. Hassan is focused on continuing to work across party lines to help innovative businesses create jobs, expand middle class opportunity, and keep New Hampshire’s economy moving in the right direction.
