Haywood: Why is Gov. John Kasich the Right Person for President?

Washington is broken, and there seems to be no real signs of change to efficiency with our current system.

Our national debt has hit a staggering level, accumulating trillions of dollars since 2008, adding millions to our debt every minute. As of writing this, we are $18 trillion dollars in debt at the federal level, with no signs of it slowing down. The current state in Washington is that of rampant spending that is digging a hole that this county will have a difficult time recovering from.

Gov. John Kasich, R-OH, brings with him a superb track record into the national debate as he runs for president. He added nearly 385,000 jobs in his time as the governor of Ohio, took a rainy day savings account that had 89 cents in it and turned it into $2 billion, and balanced the state’s finances. Not to mention, the last time that our federal budget was balanced was under the Clinton Administration, but who orchestrated that balancing as the head of the US House Budget Committee? None other than Ohio’s leader John Kasich.

With our current state of federal finances and Kasich’s impressive track record, what are we waiting for? We need someone who will logically look at our issues here and abroad, and restore a sense of reason to Washington. As bitter of a pill as it is, now is the time for action against inaction, the time for sleeves to be rolled up and work to be put in. We need someone with the level head and pragmatic views to get Washington working for us again.

I believe John Kasich is the person to lift up all Americans including those disenfranchised who are living in the shadows. He has the guts to do what he believes is right. He has the vision to increase economic environment to encourage business expansion which in turn will create opportunities for all Americans.

John Kasich is the best person to be the president for ALL AMERICANS!
