Hazardous NH Weather: Fog, Black Ice and Then Drizzle, Sleet

Tonight could be slippery, Friday could get messy. Plus, the full weekend forecast for the central, southern parts of the Granite State.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for much of New Hampshire including Hillsborough, Merrimack, and Rockingham counties at around 3 p.m. on Jan. 7, 2016.

Expect some patchy fog and black ice this evening, which could create some slick spots for the commute tomorrow morning.

Freezing drizzle, sleet, and snow is expected on Friday night and then, things are expected to warm up with heavy rain and strong wind gusts on Sunday.

According to AccuWeather.com, after the warm up and rain, the freezing temperatures are expected to hit the region again.

Tonight: Patchy freezing fog after 1 a.m. Mostly clear, with lows in the teens and 20s, along with a calm wind becoming north around 5 mph.

Friday: Patchy freezing fog before 8 a.m. Partly sunny, with highs in the mid-20s to mid-30s. Northeast wind around 5 mph. A chance of freezing drizzle after midnight, mixing with sleet after 3 a.m. Cloudy, with a low around 25. Northeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Saturday: A chance of snow and sleet before 11 a.m., then a chance of sleet between 11 a.m. and noon, then a chance of rain and sleet after noon. Cloudy, with a high near 35. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. During the evening, a chance of rain and sleet before 8 pm., then rain likely. Cloudy, with a low around 33. East wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Sunday: Rain. High in the mid-40s. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent with a 40 percent chance of rain in the evening. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 35.
