Hazardous Winter Weather Coming to NH on Monday
Breaking: The National Weather Service issues weather outlook alert: Prepare for a slippery commute; a second storm is expected on Thursday.

GRAY, ME — The National Weather Service issued a “hazardous weather outlook” alert this morning for all of New Hampshire, including Merrimack, Hillsborough, and both inland and coastal Rockingham counties, warning residents to be prepared for a winter weather mix of conditions and a messy morning commute tomorrow – as well as a storm on Thursday. The alert was issued at around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016, warning for hazardous weather after light snow begins on Monday morning.
“Light snow is expected to develop during the early morning hours on Monday,” according to the alert. “Only light accumulations are expected ... generally around an inch ... but the morning commute could be quite slippery since the snow is expected to stick to road surfaces after a cold Sunday night.”

Another low-pressure system, according to the NWS, will also strengthen as it moves north along the New England Coast later this week.

“This system has the potential to bring accumulating snows to the mountains and foothills,” according to the alert, “and a possible mix or rain elsewhere.”
