Head-On Collision Reported Near State Prison In Concord
Concord police and firefighters clear accident between a sedan and a van on North State Street Monday.
CONCORD, NH — Concord police and firefighters quickly cleared a head-on collision outside the New Hampshire State Prison for Men Monday.
Around 5:10 p.m., police were sent the area for a crash between a sedan and a U-Haul rental van.
The first responding officer called for a second unit to navigate traffic on one lane around the accident scene as firefighters arrived. While waiting for other officers, prison staffers assisted, according to scanner chatter.

The driver of the sedan was taken to Concord Hospital.
The frontend of the sedan had damage while the van, which had Arizona plates, had slight damage on the front bumper. Both drivers had valid licenses, according to police.

Both vehicles were towed from the area later.
