Firefighters told dispatch both drivers were out of the vehicle while the first responding officers requested backup because other drivers on North State Street were attempting to access Knight Street in the opposite way of its one-way direction. Firefighters also requested a second ambulance.
One driver was taken to Concord Hospital and the second ambulance was put back in service due to the second driver not needing medical care or transport — witnesses and dispatch reported the driver was taken into custody after her field sobriety test.
