Help Community Radio Stay on the Air with Just $19.47
Arnie Arnesen hosts a fundraiser on July 31, for WNHN-LP in Concord, to keep the station on the air.

CONCORD, NH — A historic house, fabulous shoes as art, and helping a good cause. Former gubernatorial candidate and progressive activist Arnie Arnsen is hosting a fundraiser at her home on Rumford Street in Concord on Sunday, July 31, 2016, to support WNHN 94.7 LP (low-powered FM) in Concord, the station that hosts her daily program. From 1 to 6 p.m., attendees will be gathering at her house enjoying jazz, art, and fun, and kicking in $19.47 to help fund station operations.
Frank Wilner will be DJing some jazz, singer-songwriters Paul Karinja and Paul Hubert will be performing at 2 p.m., and there will be guided tours of Arnie’s home, previously owned by Concord Mayor and Democrat activist, the late Martin Gross. And yeah, Vice President Al Gore slept there once, too. The donation is tax deductible and you can support community radio at the same time. The station accepts underwriting and doesn’t do a lot of fundraising (the last fundraiser was in May 2014).
If you don’t know anything about the station, if features various talk and music programs hosted by both national and local outlets. Arnesen’s show, The Attitude, airs at noon on weekdays. Jazz is featured most weekday mornings. At various times during the day, blues, oldies, local, alt-rock, and even disco can be heard. Democracy Now! And Thom Hartmann also air on the station.
