At-Home Program Offers Summer Classes For New Hampshire Pre-K Students
Parents, children have access to Waterford Upstart Summer Learning Path from June to August this year, in 2023 via NH education department.

CONCORD, NH — The state education department is using federal grants to assist parents in enrolling in online, personalized learning for pre-kindergarten children.
The Waterford Upstart Summer Learning Path runs from June to August for 4-year-olds. The New Hampshire Department of Education is using federal Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief funds to provide children with free access to the program. By enrolling and participating in short classes during the summer and fall, students will be ready for kindergarten and should be reading close to first-grade level.
Waterford Upstart is an at-home, pre-K learning program providing “positive, parent-child interactions while delivering personalized, online instruction,” according to state officials. Students will engage with the curriculum for 20 minutes a day, five days a week. During a fall program, the students can use the nonprofit’s software 15 minutes a day, five days a week.
