Homeless Camp Fire Extinguished At Lincoln Financial Property: Video
Concord fire and rescue teams as well as police were sent to the parcel behind the office building for another homeless camp fire on Friday.
CONCORD, NH — Concord fire and rescue teams and police were kept busy on Friday with another homeless camp fire, this time, on the Lincoln Financial property.
Just after midnight, capital region fire dispatch reported a master box activation on Walker Street in the city's North End. When firefighters arrived, they found no issues at the business. Later, they learned a homeless camper, who had suffered burns, had pulled the alarm.
The battalion commander requested EMTs to assist with the burn victim while figuring out exactly where the camp was, suspecting that it might be up in the quarries.

About 15 minutes later, firefighters reported the camp was behind Lincoln Financial on Granite Place and there might be another burn victim still at the camp.
The burn victim on Walker Street was treated and taken to Concord Hospital.

The battalion commander said firefighters spoke with a second person at the Lincoln Financial property who refused medical care. Firefighters then entered the woods to find the homeless camp.
Firefighters entered a service road and found the fire. Remote command reported it had extended into the woods. When asked if they needed help or more water, the firefighter said, No, since the fire was near a stream on the property. At around 12:30 a.m., the firefighter came back on the air and said they would need another can of water immediately as well as a forestry unit. The unit was called as well as another team of firefighters.
A firefighter also told dispatch that there was a third camper who was requesting assistance with a resource issue and was coming down from the campsite to the building to speak to someone.
The forestry unit arrived and around 1:15 a.m., firefighters had extinguished the fire, came out of the woods and cleared the scene.
