Homeless Camp Fire Extinguished Along Tracks By Horseshoe Pond Lane In Concord: Watch

Concord firefighters extinguished another homeless camp fire along the railroad tracks near the city's historic district.

CONCORD, NH — Concord first responders were sent to the railroad tracks in the city’s historic district between Horseshoe Pond Lane and North Main Street for another homeless camp fire on Monday.

Capital Area Mutual Aid Fire Compact began receiving calls just after 4:30 p.m. about smoke in the area. The forestry unit and a tanker arrived at the scene and stretched a line into the area to extinguish the fire.

A firefighter asked if they should wait until police arrived before going into the camp. Another firefighter said no one was at the camp then, so they did not have to wait for police.
