At the intersection of Rumford and Tremont streets, an officer reported seeing a man matching the description of walking away from Franklin Street.
The officer spoke to the man, later identified as David John Vecchiola, who was allegedly “vague” about what had taken place in the apartment. He reported being there about 30 minutes, visiting with friends, when he was asked to leave.

Residents of the apartment told another officer that “no crime had been committed” but they didn’t want Vecchiola to come back to the apartment.
Dispatch reported that Vecchiola had a warrant out for his arrest for nonpayment of $639 from Sixth Circuit District Division Court on Dec. 11, 2012, for nonappearance.
Vecchiola was then arrested. He refused bail and was arraigned on Jan. 22.
In the past year, Vecchiola has been picked up by police on a number of charges, including simple assault, disorderly conduct, bail jumping, criminal trespass, and default or breach of bail conditions
