How did Unitil perform during the recent October snowstorm?
The state Public Utilities Commission wants to know.
The commission is asking residents to fill out an online survey asking how long your power was disrupted and how your utility company handled it. The PUC will use the comments in its review of how utilities performed during the devastating snowstorm.
"Snowtober" knocked out power to tens of thousands across the state, including Concord. It took Unitil days to get power back online. The problem was the snowstorm happened when there were still a lot of leaves on trees. Snow collected on the leaves and tore trees down into utility lines.
Throughout the storm, Unitil reported the progress of restoration work on its Twitter account and website.
WMUR reported the commission will use the survey results to determine whether any penalties against the utilities are warranted.
