VIDEO: Hundreds Attend Second Love Your Neighbor Rally

More than 200 people took time off from their lunch breaks to listen to music and speeches from some of Concord's civic and religious leaders at the second Love Your Neighbor rally held on Sept. 28 at the Statehouse.

The messages from the speakers were clear: Concord will not tolerate , the city’s residents must all come together to understand, respect, and admire everyone’s differences, and love thy neighbor … and love your enemies, as stated by Jesus, according to one pastor.

The speeches were interspersed with inspirational songs from spiritual leaders and music directors from area churches.

The Rev. Jason Wells, of Grace Episcopal Church, thanked everyone coming to the event stating, “Please do not let the spirit of this hour be quenched. Please go home and as you leave today, take those posters with you. Put them in your windows, put them in your homes, put them in your offices, so that everyone can see when they drive and when they walk the streets of Concord, they can see that today, the face of Concord is visibly changed. Love your neighbor.”
