An officer on patrol of the Residence Inn on Hall Street in Concord spotted the vehicle and law enforcement units from Concord, Tilton, and New Hampshire State Police set up a perimeter around the hotel in an effort to find the suspect. The region’s controversial Bearcat armored vehicle was deployed as well as K-9 units.

Lt. Timothy O’Malley, the commander of the criminal investigations unit, said police were at the scene and used the Bearcat to peer into the suspect’s hotel room to see if here was there before entering the room. Cheney was not found in the room or on the grounds, and is still at-large, according to police.

Cheney should be considered “armed and dangerous” and was previously a member of the Latin Kings Gang. He was arrested in Laconia for allegedly threatening another with a knife, according to the New Hampshire Union Leader.

Anyone with information or knowledge of the whereabouts of Cheney should contact Tilton Police at 603-286-4442.
