Hydroplaning Car Caused I-93 Crash In Concord: NH State Police
Elderly residents from Easton, Massachusetts, as well as an Epsom teenager, were injured during an accident that closed I-93 on Friday.

CONCORD, NH — Three people were taken to Concord Hospital with minor injuries after a crash that partially closed Interstate 93 in Concord for about 90 minutes.
New Hampshire State Police were sent to Exit 14 around 11:15 a.m. for a report of a crash that was blocking the entire northbound side of the highway. According to Staff Sgt. Daniel Baldassarre of Troop D, a car, driving by Casey Shuman, 19, of Epsom, hydroplaned, due to heavy rain, while attempting to move into the left lane of the highway. The car then moved back into the right lane, crashing into a camper, being pulled by a pickup truck.

“The camper rolled over across both lanes of I-93 NB, shutting down the highway,” Baldassarre said.
Robert Berry, 65, of Easton, Massachusetts, was operating the pickup truck at the time of the crash. A passenger, Wendy Berry, 65, was also in the pickup truck. All three people were taken to the hospital.

Baldassarre said state police were assisted by the Concord Fire Department and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation. The crash is still under investigation.
