I-89 Road Rage Incident Caught on Camera
Breaking: NHSP have issued a warrant for a driver that allegedly fled the scene of a collision with injuries this morning.
CONCORD, NH — New Hampshire State Police troopers are investigating a road rage incident this morning on I-89 which led to a crash and a Granite State driver reportedly fleeing the scene. The incident reportedly occurred before 7:30 a.m. on Aug. 9, 2016, according to state police, who were sent to a collision near Mile Marker 48 in the town of Grantham. Two troopers responded to the crash scene and spoke with the driver of a Volkswagen Jetta who reportedly was driving north on the highway when a Ford Explorer passed the vehicle, merged in front of it while braking, and then struck the Jetta, causing the vehicle to lose control and strike a bridge abutment where a NH DOT crew was working.
“As a result of this the operator of the Volkswagen and a child passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon,” according to Trooper Michael Catalfamo of the NHSP. “The operator of the Ford Explorer fled the scene. This incident was caught on video and an arrest warrant for the operator of the Ford Explorer is pending.”
Assisting on scene were members of the NH State Police Troop C Barracks, NH DOT, Grantham and Lebanon Fire and Rescue teams.
