Icy Roads Lead To Crashes All Around New Hampshire
Update: Freezing rain and icy roads are causing accidents everywhere; New Hampshire State Police respond to dozens of crashes.
CONCORD, NH — Crashes are being reported all over the state due to freezing rain and icy road conditions on Tuesday, according to officials.
Since 8 a.m., accidents have been reported all around central and southern New Hampshire.
New Hampshire State Police have responded to dozens of crashes around the state. Around 10:30 a.m., troopers reported that Interstate 93 south in Hooksett was completely closed while lanes on I-93 north in Concord were closed, too.

A tractor-trailer truck was jackknifed on Route 106 in Concord.
Bedford and Nashua police departments warned residents to stay off the roads due to icy conditions.

Interstate 93 north in Salem near Mile Marker 6.2 was completely closed due to an accident.
Multiple crashes are being reported on Route 101, according to Exeter firefighters.
Accidents were also reported in Hooksett at Andrea Avenue, where a driver is being extricated near Whitehall Road, as well as scattered around Interstate 93.
Crashes were also reported at Exit 14 in Concord and at the I-89 and I-93 junction in Bow. A rollover was reported near Exit 2 on I-89. New Hampshire State Police reported I-89 was “all backed up” due to accidents, according to scanner chatter. Troopers responded to dozens of crashes between 9 and 10 a.m.
Accidents were also reported on Route 106 at the Concord and Loudon town line and Pembroke Street and Pembroke Hill Road in Pembroke.

Pelham police warned residents that the roads are icy but crews were working to treat the streets.
A rollover was also reported at Island Pond Road in Derry while a head-on collision was reported at Kendall Pond Road in Londonderry.
Route 3 in Tilton is also completely closed.
A crash was also reported in Chester earlier this morning.

New Hampshire Homeland Security and Emergency Management issued an alert warning of the road conditions.
Forecasters are reporting the freezing rain was expected to continue throughout the morning but, eventually, the temperatures will rise enough to allow for melting.
