Injuries Reported After Route 202 Crash In Chichester: Watch

Three people were injured, one taken to the hospital, after a car and an SUV crashed near Interstate 393 and Bailey Road.

CHICHESTER, NH — Two people were injured during a crash on Route 202 in Chichester on Thursday.

Around 4 p.m., capital region fire dispatch began receiving calls about a possible head-on crash on Dover Road between Bailey Road and Interstate 393. A few minutes after sending Chichester firefighters, a second ambulance was requested, and Loudon EMTs were called to the crash.

The Chichester fire commander confirmed a car, a Ford sedan, and an SUV, a Chevrolet Tahoe, were involved in the crash. They said one vehicle was off the embankment while another had heavy damage. The sedan had damage to the back-end while the SUV had damage to the front-end.

At just before 4:15 p.m., the fire commander told dispatch one person was being taken to the hospital while two other patients refused transportation. They also said the Loudon EMTs could go back into service.

The second Chichester ambulance also arrived to assist and around 4:30 p.m., the commander said they had enough personnel to deal with the crash.

Two trucks were then requested to remove the vehicles.
