CONCORD, NH — Interstate 93 North in Concord, between Exit 16 and Exit 17, has been completely re-opened to traffic after a major crash. According to scanner chatter, Concord fire and rescue teams were called to the area around 11:45 a.m. Friday for two-vehicle crash with injuries. Arriving firefighters said the accident was "major" and reported to dispatch that the highway was closed.

At just after noon, EMTs stated they were transporting two to Concord Hospital and said the Interstate would probably be closed for a while.

New Hampshire State Police later reported that the crash involved three vehicles.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation confirmed on Twitter that the Interstate was closed to traffic at Mile Marker 41.8, about a mile north of Exit 16.

At just before 1 p.m., NH DOT posted on Twitter that the right breakdown lane was open to traffic but the other lanes were still closed.

At 2:23 p.m., the section of I-93 was completely re-opened to traffic.
