It’s National Poetry Month – Get Ready to Slam Tonight

5 Things you need to know for April 8, 2013.

  1. Sunny … until. The National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies and highs in the 60s. However, in the evening, expect clouds to roll in and showers after 11 p.m. with temps dropping down into the 40s.
  2. Unemployed? There’s a support group for that. It meets at 8 a.m. on Mondays at EJ’s on Main at The Holiday Inn. All are welcome. Concord NH Patch will have the latest job listings up later this afternoon.
  3. Movin’ Monday. Dustins Fitness Solutions as a complementary circuit training class at noon. Jen has a Zumba class at Concord Dance Academy at 5:30 p.m. Mariann P. Has a Zumba class at the Local 490 JATC on Airport Road at 5:30 p.m.
  4. It’s National Poetry Month. And Gibson’s Bookstore is having a favorite poem project event at 7 p.m. tonight with featured poems, reading, and fun.
  5. Other stuff. The Children’s Place and Parents’ Education Center hosts a toddler play group at 10 a.m. The Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association hosts a discussion of healthy feet at 12:30 p.m. at the United Church of Penacook. Paul Bourgelais plays Hermanos at 6:30 p.m. Capital Toastmasters meet at Granite Ledges at 6:30 p.m. Sharing Yoga has free classes for veterans and their families at 7:30 p.m.
