Kia Soul Catches On Fire On Interstate 393 In Concord: Watch

Concord fire and rescue teams and New Hampshire State Police were called to a vehicle fire on I-393 on Friday.

CONCORD, NH — Concord fire and rescue teams and New Hampshire State Police were sent to a vehicle fire on Friday on Interstate 393.

Capital region dispatch received a report about a vehicle on fire on the eastbound side of the highway near Exit 1 just past 12:15 p.m. The fire involved a Kia Soul.

Dispatch sent a fire and ambulance but rerouted the ambulance since there was a person who fell in the parking lot of Hannaford on Fort Eddy Road, and EMTs were at Market Basket at the time.

A different ambulance was then sent to I-393.

Fire command arrived at Exit 1 and found the vehicle “fully involved.” Firefighters stretched a hose from the tanker and doused the Soul with water. State police showed up later.

The fire was knocked down in about five minutes, and firefighters spent the rest of their time overhauling the scene before clearing later. There were no injuries during the incident.
