Kimball Pool Renovations Celebrated

A ribbon cutting ceremony and pool reopening was held in celebration of renovations.

Kimball Pool has received major renovations in time for this summer’s pool season. Concord General ServicesPublic Properties Division started renovating the pool at the end of last season in an effort to enhance safety, accessibility, efficiency, and appeal.

The new renovations include a fully rebuilt pool with ADA accessibility that features a beach style ramp with zero-entry access, a new deck with increased floor traction and drainage to reduce accidents, improved energy efficiency with new lighting and filtration media, fresh paint, new lavatory fixtures, and gusher jets.

This is the second stage of a multi-year commitment administered by Concord General Services to upgrade all seven of the City of Concord’s community pools. Last year, similar renovations were completed for Guyette Pool at Rolfe Park. Maintaining the City of Concord’s public infrastructure, such as the pools, is crucial to the community’s development and growth. Concord’s community swimming pools officially open for the summer on Saturday, June 17th. Concord and Penacook residents must bring identification for free entry. Non-residents may purchase a family pass at the Parks and Recreation Office for full summer access to all community pools. More information can be found by visiting www.concordnh.gov/pools.
