When officers arrived, they reportedly found a smashed white fence with pieces all over the yard and broken glass from a door, strewn around a porch and kitchen.

A man told officers that he and Sawyer went to Chen Yang Li in Bow for some drinks, according to a court affidavit. During the evening, Sawyer reportedly left the establishment twice, and stated he was looking for his wallet, according to the report.

When they both returned to Downing Street, the victim reportedly saw the smashed door and confronted Sawyer about it and he allegedly stated again that he was looking for his wallet, according to the affidavit.

“They started arguing about the window, which resulted in a ‘wrestling match’ on the floor,” according to the reporting officer. “(The victim) stated once he stood up, Tyler grabbed a wooden board and hit (him) in the back of the head with it, which caused him to fall into the television.”

The officer noted injuries to the back of the victim’s head, according to the report.

Sawyer allegedly flipped over a kitchen table, smashed the remaining part of the door, broke the glass window, and then, walked outside, according to the allegations.

“They then got into his vehicle, which was parked behind (the victim’s) vehicle in the driveway,” according to the officer. “(The victim) stated that Tyler pulled forward, and hit (the victim’s) vehicle. Tyler’s white sedan then quickly drove in reverse and backed into the neighbor’s fence directly across the street.”

According to the court affidavit, Sawyer allegedly started waving a knife in the air, pointing it at the victim, while stating, “I don’t mean to sound like a baby.” The victim fled the area, re-entering the house, and Sawyer allegedly followed with the knife in his hand, according to the report. Once inside, Sawyer allegedly stated that he didn’t “give a f---,” and he would stab the victim if he had to. The victim then punched Sawyer and he reportedly left the home, entered his car, and fled the area, “peeling off,” as one neighbor described it.

The officer noted that there were several holes and dents in the trunk of the car and she also saw blood splattered in the area of the holes and dents of the vehicle.

Sawyer’s vehicle was registered on Union Street in Manchester but he also had a previous address in Gilford. Dispatch warned Gilford Police that Sawyer might be heading home and put a 12-hour stop and arrest for him. Not long after being notified, Gilford Police stopped his vehicle and arrested him for drunk driving, according to the affidavit, and was then transported back to Concord.

During questioning, according to the court affidavit, Sawyer allegedly admitted to using the knife to make holes in the trunk of the victim’s car but denied knowledge about the destruction of a fence. He allegedly stated that he “probably” picked up the board, could have used it in “self-defense,” and may have smashed the windows, according to the report. He was held without bail.
