CONCORD, NH —Bridge painting will require some daily shoulder and lane closures on Interstate 89 in the stretch of Exit 3 in Concord starting Monday. The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announced the closures are necessary to set up a more permanent northbound closure that will stay in place through May.

Two of the bridges are I-89 over Turkey Pond, and two are I-89 over Stickney Hill Road. The painting of the I-89 bridges over Stickney Hill is expected to be finished by the end of August.

Temporary shoulder and lane closures will be allowed on I-89 northbound from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., with southbound closures allowed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Traffic control will include the use of message boards, uniformed officers, traffic-control devices, an smart work zone devices to notify the traveling public.
