Last Chance to Experience Christmas at Canterbury Shaker Village
Special holiday event features an old-time magic show, live music, storytelling, crafts, cookie decorating, and more on Dec. 12.

CANTERBURY, NH - The final Christmas at Canterbury will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. this Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, at Canterbury Shaker Village.
Tickets are $18 for adults, $8 for children age 6-17; children under 5 free. Member admission is half price.
Christmas at Canterbury is a chance to experience the delights of Christmas from a simpler era. Held inside the historic Shaker buildings, participants can watch an old-time 19th Century magic show, make Christmas cards for loved ones, decorate gingerbread cookies, meet costumed characters, create ornaments for your Christmas tree, admire a toy train display, listen to fiddlers or enjoy hot cider and singing Christmas carols as the Village Christmas tree is lit. This classic holiday event will also include a musical performance by Shindy with Randy Miller and Roger Kahle from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

A special Christmas dinner is available at The Shaker Table from 4 to 9 p.m. for $20 per adult, $10 per child, which include tax and beverages. The dinner features Shaker style seating with a buffet and carving station. Only cash and check are accepted and reservations are strongly recommended. Reservations can be made by calling 603-783-1192. The menu can be viewed at shakers.org.

The Shaker Gift Shop, which features a wide selection of simple gifts of artisan beauty and quality, will be open for Holiday shopping during Christmas at Canterbury.
