Last Chance for Taxes, State Street Combo Bops at Hermanos

5 Things you need to know for April 15, 2013.

  1. Another nice day? While everyone is going ga-ga over Kobe Bryant’s injury and Tiger Woods’ lackluster Masters performance, most of us in Concord are just thankful that spring is finally here. Expect sunny skies with highs in the 60s and a light breeze out of the south. Overnight, expect cloudy skies and lows in the 30s.
  2. Support for the unemployed. There’s an unemployment support group at 8 a.m. at EJ’s on Main at the Holiday Inn. Later today, Patch will post the latest job listings.
  3. Baby Giovanni. Today marks the one-year anniversary of the death of Giovanni Guglielmo and his dad Michael is putting out all the stops this month to get blood cancer registrations. You can read all about all the drives this month around New England on this link.
  4. It’s tax day. Taxes are due by midnight. Did you get them done yet? You’re almost out of time!
  5. Other stuff. The Children’s Place and Parents’ Education Center hosts a toddler playgroup at 10 a.m. The Suite Success in Networking Group meets at 11:30 a.m. at The Office Suite. State Street Combo will keep Hermanos boppin’ at 6:30 p.m. Capital Toastmasters meet at Granite Ledges at 6:30 p.m. If you’re interested in the life of Judge Elwin Page and his impact on Concord, there will be a lecture at the Concord Public Library at 7 p.m. Craig McNamara hosts a discussion about changing the way we think about food at 7 p.m. at St. Paul’s School.

There are more events listed in our Events section. Would you like your event or information included in the 5 Things, Get Out!, or The Week Ahead previews? Post it in the Announcements and Events sections of Concord NH Patch and we’ll try and give it an extra plug!
