Lemonade Stand Before Concord High Graduation a Sweet Success

Goddard boys say they'll be back for Fourth of July.

As everyone who has ever been in business knows, being at the right place at the right time, with a needed, wanted, or excellent product, is how one succeeds.

And such was the case on June 15, before and after the Concord High School graduation, for Max and Nick Goddard.

The brothers – who are the sons of Irena Goddard, the former Concord City Council and School Board candidate – offered bottled water, lemonade, and cookies to folks walking into the graduation from the Redington Road side of Memorial Field. The lemonade was perfect – not too tart, not too sweet, and cold – and the cookies were huge, considering the 75-cent pricetag.

The boys said business was pretty good – about $25 raised – and they hope to be set up again for the Fourth of July festivities.
