Littleton Man Dies In I-93 Crash In Lincoln: NH State Police
Jonathan Pelosi died after a Ford Fusion he was in spun out of control and rolled during a rainstorm. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
LINCOLN, NH — A section of I-93 was closed for a number of hours Wednesday after a fatal rollover crash in Lincoln near Exit 33. New Hampshire State Police were sent to an area two miles north of the exit for a report of a 2019 Ford Fusion that crashed on the southbound side of the Interstate. The initial investigation, according to Staff Sgt. Victor Muzzey of Troop F, was that the driver lost control of the sedan, spun out, went off the right side of the highway, and rolled over on the driver's side.
Jonathan Pelosi, 36, of Littleton, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver – a 31-year-old Lyndonville, Vermont, man – was transported to Speare Memorial Hospital in Plymouth and then, transferred to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.
"Although all factors are being considered, it appears a mechanical defect, coupled with a burst of heavy rain may have contributed in part in causing the collision," Muzzey said, adding that neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt.
