Concord Police: Nathaniel Carr held without bail.
A local man with a long history of criminal activity is in trouble again after allegedly kicking a door and smashing a window at the Concord Gardens Apartment complex on the Heights.
Nathaniel Tyler Carr, 20, who is currently homeless, was arrested at 6:11 p.m. on May 18, on a criminal mischief charge.
According to a court affidavit and arrest report, officers were sent to an apartment at Concord Gardens to investigate a mischief call with a woman alleging that Carr had “punched and broke a window in her apartment.” He allegedly ran off on foot, according to dispatch. The woman alleged in the first incident that when Carr allegedly kicked the door, it knocked out the front windows of the screen door. She told him to leave and that he was not welcomed back. Carr allegedly fled the scene and the woman called police.
A man who was in the apartment at the time, in another room, reportedly heard the window break. He went to the window just as Carr was allegedly fleeing the scene.
The damage was estimated to be about $150.
Another officer and a sergeant caught up with Carr on East Side Drive near Eastern Avenue. The sergeant alleged that Carr had a cut on his hand and later, he allegedly admitted to punching and smashing the window.
Carr was arrested and held on $500 cash bail. He was arraigned on May 19.
