LOG: Pembroke Man Busted with Weed, Jagermeister After DWI on Loudon Road
The Concord Police Department supplied the following information. It does not indicate a conviction.
Benjamin M. Berry, 37, a homeless man now located in Concord, received a summons at 5:50 a.m. on April 24, on a criminal trespass charge. William G. Strickland Jr., 54, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested at 6:04 a.m. on April 24, and charged with criminal trespass and default or breach of bail conditions. While on bike patrol near the railroad tracks by I-393, an officer saw people sleeping in sleeping bags. One, Berry, had been warned previously not to camp on the railroad tracks. He was issued a summons and is due in court on June 2. Another, Strickland, had been warned repeatedly not to be on the property and he was arrested and held without bail.
Alexander R. Mahan, 20, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested at 8:10 a.m. on April 24, on two simple assault counts and two bench warrants. An officer was sent to Garvins Falls Road around 6:47 a.m. for a report of an assault. A witness reported driving by the area and seeing a woman who was crying and a man walking away from the scene. The witness stopped and spoke to the woman and asked if she was OK, and she alleged that a man had “beaten the sh-t out of her.” The man then came back to the scene and was waving something at the two of them that the witness thought was a gun. The man then fled the scene. The officer spoke to the woman who stated that she and Mahan had dinner the night before at The Friendly Kitchen but was tired of fighting so she went back to their campsite alone. Later that night, he returned to the campsite and went to sleep, she stated. The next morning, she reported, Mahan allegedly “became angry with her and began to insult her.” The two began to argue and Mahan allegedly “pushed her and struck her” numerous times in the head and face causing her to fall down. Fire and rescue teams treated her at the scene and then took her to Concord Hospital. Officers, along with New Hampshire State Police, began looking for Mahan. While near the Hess gas station on Water Street, an officer noticed a man who looked like Mahan. Officers caught up with him walking on Hall Street and ordered him to the ground where he was arrested. Mahan did not have a gun but allegedly had a knife, according to police. The bench warrants were for nonappearance in Laconia District Court on April 14, on operating after suspension charges. He’s due in court on June 9, on the assault charges.
Kristen Jeanne McAllister, 40, of Concord, was arrested at 3:37 a.m. on April 25, on a bench warrant. An officer saw an unoccupied vehicle in the Turtle Town Pond parking lot and investigated the scene. The officer found three people standing on a dock. A check revealed at one of the people, McAllister, had a warrant issued on March 3, for nonpayment of a fine on a criminal mischief charge, $385 cash to settle. She was arrested and had a court date on April 29.

Bryan William Batchelder, 44, of Concord, was arrested at 11 a.m. on April 25, on a warrant. Police allege that Batchelder was panhandling at the intersection of Loudon Road and I-93 and dispatched reported that he was wanted on a warrant. Later, he was released and given a warning about taking items from the roadway while panhandling.
Wayne Aaron Hicks, 29, of Northfield, was arrested at 5:37 p.m. on April 25, on a violation of a protective order; penalty charge from April 20, on Canton Circle. Tilton Police arrested Hicks at the Burger King in that town and transported him to Concord. He was held without bail and arraigned on April 28.

Courtney Noonan, 20, a homeless woman now located in Concord, was arrested at 3:45 p.m. on April 25, and charged with felony robbery, theft, simple assault, resisting arrest, and a bench warrant. The charges stem from alleged incidents on Feb. 5, at the Target on D’Amante Drive. An officer driving on Centre Street saw Noonan and two other people walking on the sidewalk and recalled that she had an active warrant. The individuals began walking through the St. Paul’s Church parking lot and the officer came around the other side of church on Park Street, according to the report. At that point, the individuals were sitting on a park bench as the officer approached. Noonan allegedly got up to flee the area and the officer told her repeatedly to stop as other units arrived. A witness alleged that Noonan was seen entering Yo Yo Heaven on North Main Street and officers arrested her there. The bench warrant was out of Exeter District Court from March 20, $250 cash to settle. Noonan refused bail and was arraigned on April 28.
Glenn A. Merrill, 44, of Concord, was arrested at 6:30 p.m. on April 25, and charged with attempted burglary, a felony, and criminal mischief (vandalism). A sergeant and two officers were sent to Park Ridge to arrest Merrill for allegedly attempting to break into a home in the West End. “Merrill was not cooperative and appeared to have an attitude,” according to the reporting officer, adding that he denied doing anything wrong during the entire ride to Headquarters. Merrill was held on $10,000 cash bail and arraigned on April 28.
Edward A. Caouette, 54, of Pembroke, was arrested at 11:16 p.m. on April 25, and charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of drugs, possession of controlled drugs, and transportation of alcohol/open container. An officer was sent to Old Loudon Road and Loudon Road for a report of a man passed out at the wheel of his pickup truck. The officer arrived at the scene to find Caouette behind the wheel of a Ford F-150 that was still running, allegedly passed out with his head slumped forward. “I yelled for Caouette to wake up several times but he remained unconscious,” the officer alleged. When he did wake up, “Caouette had a thousand-mile stare and seemed to be staring off into space” as the officer kept trying to get his attention. The officer noted that Bob Seger's "Against the Wind" was playing on the radio and asked that it be shut off. Caouette reportedly went to shut off the radio and let his foot off the brake, causing the truck to lunge forward, according to the officer, who was holding onto the driver’s side window, yelling at Caouette to stop the truck. “After around the fourth time telling Caouette to hit the brakes, he stopped his truck and placed it in park.” After a short discussion at the scene, Caouette was arrested. Police took an inventory of the vehicle and allegedly found a bag of marijuana and a partially filled 200 ml bottle of Jagermeister. He had a court date on May 15.
Francis D. Hilliard, 44, of Laconia, was arrested at 11:28 p.m. on April 27, on a felony theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and receiving stolen property from the TD Bank on Oct. 20, 2013. A Concord officer was sent to the New Hampshire Motor Speedway for a prisoner exchange with Laconia Police who arrested Hilliard on the Concord warrant. He’s due in court on June 2.
Carey J. Spear, 42, of Concord, was arrested at 9:13 p.m. on April 28, on a default or breach of bail conditions charge. Police were called to Crestwood Drive for a report that Spear was allegedly intoxicated in violation of his probation. He was arrested and held without bail. Spear was arraigned on April 29.
Victoria Guay, 31, of Concord, was arrested at 1:35 a.m. on April 29, on a warrant. Police arrested Guay at an apartment on Thorndike Street for parole violations according to her probation officer. The warrant was issued on April 10. She was held without bail and arraigned on April 29.
Aaron C. Mattil, 25, of Manchester, was arrested at 10:50 a.m. on April 30, and charged with possession of drugs, possession of controlled drugs, and failure to obey inspection requirements, from April 24, at the Statehouse on North Main Street. Mattil is due in court on June 9.
Christopher Allen Head, 33, of Concord, was arrested at 12:53 p.m. on May 1, on a felony violation of probation or parole charge. Police arrested him at the intersection of South State and Monroe streets.
