LOG: Penacook Man Allegedly Punches Girlfriend After She Bites Him

Plus, East Concord woman arrested for choking her mother and threatening to kill her.

Abdi Hassan Yussuf, 20, of Loudon Road in Concord, received a summons at 9:58 p.m. on June 19, on an unlawful possession of alcohol charge. Officers were sent to the Morning Star Apartments for a noise complaint about underage people outside making noise and drinking. The officers made contact with three people – two teenagers and Yussuf – near a minivan. The officer spoke to Yussuf who reportedly admitted to turning up the music on the car stereo. He allegedly had an extremely strong odor of alcohol. The two teenagers stated that they just had just arrived at before police. All agreed to portable breath tests. The teens blew zeros and were released from the scene. Yussuf did not and received a summons. He was arraigned on July 21.

Johnathan A. Evans, 23, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested at 12:59 a.m. on June 21, on a disorderly conduct charge. Officers were sent to 15 Pitman Street for a complaint that Evans was screaming obscenities but later took off. Officers searched the area and found another man who reportedly got into an argument with Evans earlier. While talking to the man, Evans turned the corner and was in front of them. “I observed that Evans was extremely intoxicated,” the officer alleged. “His movements were lethargic, his speech was slurred, and his breath and clothing reeked of an alcoholic beverage.” Evans reportedly told the officer that the two got into an argument about his girlfriend in the parking lot of the Pitman building. After talking to the complainant, Evans was arrested and arraigned on July 28.

Philip D. McCormick, 45, of Village Street in Penacook, was arrested at 8:15 a.m. on June 21, and charged with simple assault and endangering the welfare of a child/incompetent. Officers were sent to Village Street for a domestic with the man, McCormick, fleeing the scene with a 2-year-old child. The officers spoke with a woman at the apartment who stated that the two had a fight about moldy pans in the kitchen that hadn’t been cleaned. They later continued the fighting and McCormick allegedly pushed her up against a broken towel holder, jamming her in the back, when the woman wouldn’t let him leave with the girl. He later allegedly punched her in the stomach, while she was holding the girl. She then grabbed his shirt. McCormick alleged that the woman bit him so he punched her to get her to stop biting him. He showed the bite mark to the officer, according to the report, and was later arrested and was arraigned on July 28.

Steven A. Freeman, 26, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested at 10:54 a.m. on June 21, on a bench warrant. While on bike patrol behind Marshalls, an officer saw a man sitting on the curbing right underneath several no loitering signs. Freeman reportedly told the officer he was on pre-trial for a receiving stolen property charge. A check yielded a warrant from June 19, out of Concord District Court for speeding, with $620 cash to settle. He was arraigned on July 25.

George Vasilios Georgopoulos, 30, of Limerick Drive in Chichester, was arrested at 3:05 p.m. on June 21, on a receiving stolen property charge. Police received a tip from another department that Georgopoulos might be at the Veano’s Restaurant in Pembroke. He was actually at home though and agreed to come into the restaurant to speak with police. He was arrested and had a court date on July 28.

Norman Paul Hopps, 30, of Loudon Road in Concord, was arrested at 6:39 p.m. on June 21, on a bench warrant. The charge was from June 13, out of Hillsborough for nonappearance in court, $606.88 cash to settle. He was arraigned on July 15.

Derek M. Dutcher, 28, of Pine Crest Circle in Concord, was arrested at 7:31 p.m. on June 21, and charged with two counts of driving while intoxicated and one count of aggravated driving while intoxicated. Officers were sent to North State Street near the prison for a two-car accident between a sedan and a van. Witnesses alleged that the sedan was traveling south and veered into the northbound land, crashing head-on into the van. The officer went to speak to the driver of the sedan, Dutcher, who sustained a head injury and was in an ambulance. “While speaking with Dutcher, I observed his eyes were glassy and bloodshot and he was speaking to me with a slurred speech,” the officer reported. He was taken to the hospital and after being delivered, paramedics told the officer Dutcher smelled like alcohol. The officer went to speak with him and look into his eyes and later, arrested him. The officer applied for a search warrant to obtain a blood sample from him later. He was arraigned on July 7. According to the report, Dutcher was previously arrested for DWI but the charge was later dropped to reckless conduct.

Renee L. Woodward, 52, of South State Street in Concord, was arrested at 7:48 p.m. on June 21, on a criminal trespass charge. Officers were sent to South State Street for a report of an unknown woman in a house. When they arrived, they saw a woman walking along a driveway and spoke with her. Woodward allegedly said she was leaving the home there. When asked if she knew the people who lived there, she allegedly stated, “No,” and then went off “on a tangent that she was fed up with everything and was not making sense,” according to the officer. Woodward allegedly appeared to be intoxicated but reportedly said she only had one beer. She refused a portable breath test and allegedly called the officers “jokes.” Another officer went to speak to the residents in the home and a woman stated she didn’t know Woodward but believed she might have the wrong house. She allegedly continued to be difficult with police, not answering questions, and was arrested. Woodward was arraigned on July 28.

Jayson C. Miller, 23, of Granite Avenue in Concord, was arrested at 11:42 p.m. on June 21, on two counts of criminal mischief. Officers were sent to Granite Avenue for a domestic between brothers. Upon arrival, they heard loud voices coming from inside the apartment. One brother alleged that the other, Miller, was drunk, keyed his car, and broke a door, all because he wouldn’t drive him to his girlfriend’s house. Miller alleged that his brother choked him but the officer didn’t see any marks on his neck. Miller was arraigned on July 28.

Jill M. Auchterlonie, 37, of Prescott Street in Concord, was arrested at 6:31 p.m. on June 23, and charged with following too closely, conduct after an accident, and false report on an accident, from June 17, on Loudon Road. She had a court date on July 28.

Diane E. Krause, 24, of Pine Crest Circle in Concord, was arrested at 5:30 p.m. on June 23, on felony second-degree assault and criminal threatening. Officers were sent to Pine Crest Circle for a domestic with an assault. The officers met with Krause at the scene and she reportedly demanded to be taken away. She reportedly stated that her mother wouldn’t let her use the phone or give her money back. The two were fighting because the mother stated that Krause’s boyfriend was no longer welcome at the home. She began yelling while the mother sat on the couch and then Krause allegedly grabbed her mother by the neck and started squeezing while threatening to kill her, according to the report. One man reportedly was upstairs and asleep but another witness reported seeing the altercation and Krause was arrested. She was arraigned on July 28.
