Londonderry Motorcyclist Severely Injured During I-93 Crash

NH State Police: The motorcyclist, traveling at a high rate of speed, crashed into the back of a pickup truck in New Hampton on Wednesday.

CONCORD, NH — Interstate 93 north was closed for about two hours on Wednesday after a motorcycle accident on the northbound side of the highway that sent a woman to the hospital with critical injuries, according to New Hampshire State Police.

Around 10:20 p.m., state troopers were told about a crash in the area of Mile Marker 73.2 on I-93 in New Hampton involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck, according to Sgt. Irwin Malilay of Troop D in Concord. The pickup truck, a 1999 Ford F-350, was driving in the right-hand lane, at about 55 miles per hour, with its hazard lights flashing, due to unknown mechanical issues, he said. The motorcycle, which was driving “at a high rate of speed,” crashed into the rear of the pickup truck.

“The roadway curved to the right gradually prior to where the crash occurred,” Malilay said.
