Long-time Educator Sidway Passes Away

The long-time teacher and program director of The Children’s Place and Parent Education Center, Kay Sidway, passed away last week, according to a remembrance on the facility’s Facebook site.

“Kay touched hundreds of families throughout her years at The Children's Place,” the post noted. “As we all grieve her loss, we also find comfort in memories of Kay's love for children and their families. Kay was not only a mentor but an inspiration to many. Kay will be greatly missed, her love for child and lifetime work at The Children's Place and Parent Education Center will never be forgotten.”

Sidway spent more than 30 years at The Children's Place and started working at there when it was founded in 1978. She won a number of accolades over the years.
