Loudon Teen Arrested on Arson, Theft Charges

Concord Police: Michael Peacan also charged with criminal threatening.

A local teen was arrested twice during a four week period on charges after alleged incidents at two local stores.

Michael Peacan, 19, of Loudon, was arrested at 3:52 p.m. on Aug. 9, and charged with two felony arson counts and a theft charge.

One arson charge stems from an alleged incident at Market Basket on Fort Eddy Road on April 10. Another arson charge and the theft charge stem from an alleged incident at the Walmart on Loudon Road on June 24.

According to an arrest report, photos from the scene of the alleged incidents were gathered by police as evidence.

Peacan turned himself into police and was released on $2,500 personal recognizance bail and was arraigned on Sept. 16.

About a month later, Peacan was arrested again, and this time, was charged with criminal threatening (intimidation, etc.) and default or breach of bail conditions. He was arrested at 5:25 p.m. on Sept. 5.

The charges stem from an alleged incident at the Market Basket on Fort Eddy Road at 2 a.m. on Sept. 4, according to a report.

Peacan was arrested in Loudon and taken into custody by Concord Police. He was later released on $10,000 personal recognizance bail and arraigned on Sept. 16.
