Loudon Woman Wins $1,000 a Week For Life Top Prize
The $1.3 million New Hampshire Lottery top prize was awarded last night; a Pembroke man, a Hampton woman, and others, also won prizes.
CONCORD, NH — Loudon resident Teresa Tetrault won $1.3 million in a New Hampshire Lottery live drawing on July 21, 2016, during the New Hampshire Fisher Cats baseball game at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium, according to the New Hampshire Lottery.
Eleven finalists were invited onto the infield during the bottom of the sixth inning to take part in the live $1,000 a Week For Life drawing. Tetrault can choose $1,000 per week for 25 years, the equivalent of $1.3 million, or accept a one-time cash payout of $500,000. (Prize amounts are calculated before taxes.)
“You could see the enthusiasm on the faces of the 11 finalists in the moments before the $1.3 million top prize was revealed,” said Maura McCann, director of marketing for the New Hampshire Lottery Commission. “I cannot think of a more fun and exciting way to award $1.3 million to a New Hampshire Lottery player. On behalf of the New Hampshire Lottery, I would like to say congratulations to our big winner.”

Finalists were selected from a preliminary drawing held earlier this summer from non-winning $1,000 a Week For Life scratch tickets. Finalists were instructed to open their envelopes at once to reveal their prizes.
“I thought I was dreaming when I opened the envelope and looked down and saw I was the big winner,” Tetrault said following the drawing. “When I was on the field, I had a feeling that I was going to open the winning envelope. I still can’t believe I won. It shows that miracles can happen.”
