Maine Man Sentenced For Fentanyl Trafficking In NH
State Police found driver in possession of 714 grams of the drug during traffic stop.
CONCORD -- A Maine man was sentenced to 63 months in prison on Thursday after New Hampshire State Police found 714 grams of fentanyl in his possession during a 2017 traffic stop.
Donald Fillmore, of Exeter, Mane, pleaded guilty to possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute on Oct. 29, 2018. On Nov. 14, 2017, Fillmore was pulled over and consented to a search of his car, during which troopers found the fentanyl, which Fillmore admitted belonged to him.
“Fentanyl has been responsible for hundreds of overdose deaths in New Hampshire," U.S. Attorney Scott Murray said in a statement. "I commend the New Hampshire State Police for their efforts in this case, which led to the seizure of a significant quantity of this deadly drug. By removing this fentanyl from the distribution chain, they may have given many people a chance to survive."
