Man Arrested After Flipping Out at Holiday Inn, Red River Theatres
Concord Police: Robert Bauer was ranting about the government, the military and private movie showings.

An Epping man was recently arrested for causing disturbances downtown, according to police.
Robert R. Bauer, 65, of Calef Highway in Epping, was arrested at 12:43 p.m. on Nov. 10, on a disorderly conduct charge.
According to police, officers were sent to the Red River Theatres for a report of a man going crazy inside the building and interrupting a private meeting while ranting about the military and requesting a private film showing.

The officer took a description of the man and arrived at the scene. In the courtyard of the theatre, the officer spoke to a delivery person who stated that he just saw the man yelling at a woman for no reason, and pointed down the street at the man.
The man was located on North Main Street near Pleasant Street Extension and the officer spoke to him but he allegedly continued to yell and threatened the officer if police did not leave him alone. The man, identified as Bauer from previous calls, reportedly confirmed he was in Red River Theatres and spoke to them about a veterans event at the theatres in a couple of days.

Another officer arrived who had just encountered Bauer at the Holiday Inn on a previous disorderly conduct call he was released from. The second officer held him while the reporting officer went back to Red River and spoke to an employee there who described Bauer as “screaming about the government and the military” while “demanding a private showing” of a film. The employees realized that Bauer might have some problems and they tried to calm him down, but he allegedly became more aggressive, so they called police.
“It was a weird situation,” one employee stated to police.
Bauer was arrested and arraigned on Dec. 15.
Previously, Bauer was arrested in 2012 for sexual assault on a teen at a local hotel.
