News 603 posted a video from the scene on Facebook.
According to a video shot by News 603, a banging sound emerged from the back of the state police cruiser. A state trooper then takes Cherry to the ground and yells, “Stop kicking the door. Do you understand?”
A voice, presumed to be the suspect being detained, can be heard saying, “Or what? Or what?”
“You need to calm down,” the trooper said.
“Or what?,” Cherry said.
“Or this,” the trooper said.
Cherry could be heard giggling and then said, “You’re nothing. You’re nothing, you little b----… you’re a bunch of little b-----s… I’ve got my hands behind my back… you’re just a bunch of bullies. You ain’t sh--.”
A woman’s voice can be heard telling Cherry to “shut the f--- up.” After hearing that, Cherry countered, “This is your fault. I want you to know that.”
Cherry then continues to yell at the trooper.
“Don’t hold my head, you ass----,” he could be heard saying. “This is America. We have freedom of speech.”
Cherry continues to grunt and moan, and then tells the trooper he was detained “without reasonable suspicion” while hurling more swears and police.
“Whatever, man,” he said. “Do whatever you’re gonna do. I don’t care.”
Around 1:30 a.m., a Concord officer told dispatch that state police were taking Cherry straight to the county jail.
On Monday, state police said Cherry was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest or detention.
According to reports online, Cherry was arrested in Haverhill, Massachusetts, on a fugitive from justice warrant, according to WHAV.net. He was charged with trying to run over a police officer in Manchester in August 2016, according to WMUR-TV. Cherry was arrested in Londonderry in November 2016 on habitual offender, conspiracy to commit, and other charges. He was also indicted on receiving stolen property, accused of retaining a stolen motorcycle and habitual offender, in Cheshire County, according to a December 2016 report in the Keene Sentinel.
