Many Without Power in Bow, Concord

Outages getting cleared up; Unitil, PSNH crews working to restore electricity.

UPDATE, Feb. 24, 2:25 p.m. 

Unitil outages have climbed up to more than 1,600 homes in the capital region with about 1,000 in Concord and close to 500 from Bow. 

PSNH has nearly 4,700 households without power in New Hampshire including about 200 in the towns of Deerfield, Henniker, Loudon, and Northwood. Outages are also being reported in Concord, Weare, Warner, and other capital region communities.

UPDATE, Feb. 24, 1:20 p.m. 

Unitil outages in the capital region are back up over 1,300 households with most of them concentrated in Concord, in the North End, West side, and Downtown areas. Hundreds are without power in Bow too. Random outages in Chicester, Canterbury, and Epsom are also being reported.

PSNH is reporting about 25 percent of Loudon without power with random outages around the capital region, including Chichester, Canterbury, and Dunbarton. 

UPDATE, Feb. 24, 12:22 p.m.

Many outages around the region are getting cleared up.

At just before 12:30 p.m., Unitil was down to about 150 households in the area without power.

PSNH was still reporting regional outages - hundreds were without power in Loudon, Deerfield, and Goffstown. Other areas like Warner, Dunbarton, Hooksett, and Canterbury had a few households here and there without power.

Both Unitil and Public Service of New Hampshire are reporting a number of households without power in the capital region, according to their outage alert maps.

At just after 10 a.m., Unitil was reporting more than 1,000 households were without power in Bow as well as the Iron Works Road and Silk Farm Road areas in the southern part of the Concord. More outages were reported in Chichester and Epsom too.

PSNH was reporting nearly all of its customers in Canterbury were without power, with hundreds of others without power in Hopkinton, Hooksett, Weare, Dunbarton, Pembroke, and Northwood.

Earlier this morning, a plow in Bow was reportedly involved in an accident with at least one other vehicle. There were also scattered accidents reported around the region although most people appear to be staying off the roads.
