“Hobbs is currently on state parole and a former attorney who was charged with defrauding several clients in 2005,” White noted. “Hobbs was last known to live in Stratham but fled upon learning about the pending charges.”
Hobbs has ties throughout the Seacoast area of New Hampshire and has previously lived in Amherst and Mont Vernon but his current whereabouts are unknown. His previous law practice was in Nashua. Hobbs was last known to be driving a white 2006 four-door Mercedes C280 with NH license plate 425-4994.

According to the Fosters Daily Democrat in Democrat 2005, Hobbs was charged with misappropriating more than $491,000 from an estate. In March 2011, according to the Nashua Telegraph, the IRS was attempting to collect more than $300,000 from Hobbs after he admitted to stealing more than $1 million from clients. A prosecutor at the time called him one of the most, if not the most, ethically compromised attorneys in the history of the New Hampshire Bar Association.
