ARRESTS: Mass. Man Arrested for Second-Degree Assault
The following information was supplied by the Concord Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

- Michael S. Timulty, 49, of Roslindale, Mass., was arrested at 11:39 p.m. on Sept. 8, on a second-degree assault charge. An officer was called to an apartment on Fisherville Road for a report of woman who was assaulted, with the suspect fleeing in a Toyota Corolla. A few minutes later, another officer stopped the Corolla on I-93 near Exit 14. At the apartment, the officer reported seeing a woman lying on a bathroom floor bleeding from the face with an eye that was swollen shut. The woman alleged that Timulty had hit her three times. The woman became sick and was later transported to Concord Hospital. Police spoke to the woman’s adult son who reported hearing a verbal argument but didn’t witness the assault because he was told to mind his own business. Later, he left his room and found his mother on the floor and called 911. The other officer, who was with Timulty, arrested him. Timulty allegedly told the arresting officer that he didn’t know why he was being arrested. “When I informed him of the charges, he did not comment,” the officer alleged. At the hospital, a doctor told the reporting officer that the woman had at least one broken cheek bone and would needed stitches. During an interview with the woman, she alleged that Timulty got mad when the two began to talk about an upcoming court date. Later, the officer wrote, the woman was unwilling to reveal more details about the assault. Timulty was arraigned on Sept. 9.
- David Edward Kendrick, 47, of Concord, was arrested at 4:40 p.m. on Sept. 13, and charged with theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, a felony, and false report to law enforcement. On Aug. 22, an officer was called to Market Basket on Storrs Street for a report of a past tense theft. The officer spoke to the store director who alleged that a store associate had uncovered a beer theft. The director showed the officer images of two white men who took a six-pack of Pabst Blue Ribbon, valued at $4.99, and exited the store without paying for them. The store associate alleged that one of the men lived in the Mennino Place Apartments on Storrs Street and after the theft, reportedly ratted out the other person, alleged to be Kendrick. On Sept. 6, the officer went to a Pleasant Street rooming house to speak with Kendrick about the theft but Kendrick asked to speak with him at a later date. The next day, the two met to discuss the theft. Kendrick reportedly alleged that another man was involved in the theft. On Sept. 12, Market Basket still had not produced a copy of the video so the officer viewed the video and alleged that it was Kendrick who carried the beer out of the store without paying for it. “At no time do I see (the other man) in possession of the beer while he is in the store,” the officer alleged. A search of Kendrick’s record revealed convictions for willful concealment in 1994 in Concord District Court, a propelled vehicle charge from Rockingham County in 1994, and receiving stolen property in 1997 in Salem District Court. Due to the convictions, the charge was elevated to a felony. Kendrick was arrested and refused bail. He was arraigned on Sept. 13.
- Mark G. Hollis, 59, of Concord, was arrested at 5:53 p.m. on Sept. 20, on change of registration information; duty to inform, sex offender registration from June 10. Hollis turned himself in to police and was later released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail. He had a court date on Oct. 4. Hollis was convicted in 1995 on two counts of felonious sexual assault (on a victim 13 or older but under 16 with an age difference of more than three years).
- Debra Willey, 59, of Loudon, was arrested a 7:02 p.m. on Sept. 20, on a theft charge. Officers were called to Rite Aid on North State Street for a report of a shoplifter. The officers spoke to the assistant manager who alleged that he saw Willey open a package of Dr. Scholls insoles and put them in her pocketbook. After the first officer arrived, Willey allegedly denied stealing the insoles until the officer showed her the empty package and she allegedly said, “Oh,” and allegedly handed over the insoles to the officer. At the time of the encounter with the officer, Willey had a number of items in her hand that she stated she planned on paying for. At one point, she asked to go to the bathroom. The officer requested to search her pocketbook and allegedly found cosmetics in her purse that she later allegedly admitted were from the store. The total value of the items was $121.67. Willey was arrested and also received a no trespass order for the store. She was released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail and is due in court on Oct. 21.
- Jeffrey M. Smith, 31, of Epsom, was arrested at 4:08 p.m. on Sept. 21, on a bench warrant. An officer was informed by dispatch that Smith, a man that had an active warrant, was heading to an apartment building on Elm Street in Penacook for a civil stand by. Dispatch gave the officer a description of Smith and later, the officer caught up with him at the intersection of Village and Allen streets where he was arrested. The warrant was for nonpayment of fines on a charge of stop, stand, park prohibited, with $200 cash to settle. Smith was arraigned in Plymouth District Court on Oct. 7.
- Charity L. Eddy, 37, of Penacook, was arrested at 6:20 p.m. on Sept. 23, and charged with driving after revocation or suspension and suspended registration (operating-misd). Eddy, according to an arrest report, was stopped on Fisherville Road in a 2005 Ford Freestyle after a check came up that she had a suspended license and the vehicle was not registered. According to the DMV, Eddy’s license was suspended on July 25, for a default court summons. She was also convicted of operating after suspension on April 8. Eddy was later released on $3,000 personal recognizance bail and is due in court on Nov. 4.
- Lance M. Barreto, 22, of Loudon, was arrested at 4:15 a.m. on Sept. 24, and charged with two counts of driving while intoxicated, possession of controlled drugs, and possession of drugs. An officer stopped a Ford Explorer at the intersection of Franklin and Bradley streets just before 4 a.m. after seeing the SUV run a red light at North State and Centre streets. While talking with the driver, Barreto, the officer alleged smelling alcohol in the vehicle. A passenger admitted to drinking earlier by Barreto allegedly denied drinking. Barreto agreed to perform a field sobriety test and after the tests, was arrested. During an inventory of the vehicle, officers allegedly found marijuana, two pipes, and a scale. Barreto was released on $6,000 personal recognizance bail and was arraigned on Oct. 7.
- Steven Archambault, 25, a homeless man located in Concord, was arrested at 10:10 a.m. on Sept. 25, on a felony sale of controlled drugs charge. The charge stems from an alleged incident on March 7, involving five suboxone strips outside the former Rumford Elementary School on Thorndike Street. Audio evidence was recorded by the police on June 11, according to the report. An officer was sent to the Merrimack County Jail to serve the arrest to Archambault, who was being held on a no bail warrant out of Belknap County and an active warrant out of Merrimack County for child support. He was arraigned remotely on Sept. 25.
- Christina Kilcline, 41, of Claremont, was arrested at 5:40 p.m. on Sept. 26, on a felony theft by unauthorized taking or transfer. An officer was sent to the Hannaford on Fort Eddy Road for a shoplifter in custody. The loss prevention officer alleged that the woman, Kilcline, left the store with a cart full of groceries and did not attempt to pay for them before she was stopped outside. Kilcline allegedly was concealing the products in a reusable bag. The officer viewed video of the allegations and then watched the woman exit through the produce department doors. Kilcline reportedly told the officer that she only had $23 and collected $700 a month from SSDI. “When I asked if she had a job, she informed me that she is disabled and cannot work,” the officer wrote. She was arrested. The value of the groceries was approximately $336.69. According to a records check, Kilcline was convicted of shoplifting in Claremont District Court on Feb. 3, 2009, willful concealment in Lebanon District Court on May 7, 2012, and receiving stolen property on Jan. 9, also in Lebanon District Court. The charge was then elevated to a felony. She was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail and is due in court on Nov. 4.
- Cherie A. Leach, 48, of Northfield, was arrested at 1:54 a.m. on Sept. 29, on a suspended registration (operating-misd) charge. An officer on Water Street observed a BMW sedan with a defective passenger side brake light. A check on the vehicle revealed that registrations had been suspended on Sept. 13, for a protested check. Leach was arrested and later, released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail. She’s due in court on Nov. 18.
