Mass. Man Faces Aggravated DUI, Reckless Conduct Charges After I-93, I-89 Chase: Watch
Gabriel Lima of Lawrence is accused of drunken driving, driving as fast as 130 mph, crashing a car on Concord's Manchester Street Bridge.
CONCORD, NH — A man from Massachusetts faces multiple charges after a high-speed chase and crash on two New Hampshire Interstates on Thursday.
Around 10:30 p.m., a state trooper clocked a driver in a car at 109 mph while “swerving erratically” on Interstate 93 north in Bow, Amber Lagace, a public information officer for the department, said. The trooper attempted to stop the driver, but he exited off the highway and onto Interstate 89 north and failed to stop. She said the trooper accused the driver of being clocked at 130 mph.
“The trooper did not pursue the vehicle but observed that it took Exit 2 into Concord and then lost sight of it,” Lagace said.

Another trooper, leaving the Troop D barracks not far from Exit 2, spotted the car, a Volkswagen Passat, with its lights off on the side of the road near the barracks. The trooper realized it was the same car involved in the previous chase. The driver, after seeing the trooper, began to flee the area, she said.
The trooper attempted to stop the driver, but the driver failed to stop, and another chase ensued.

“The vehicle continued to operate erratically and at varying speeds as it attempted to elude troopers, even crossing a median on two occasions,” Lagace said. “It eventually struck a concrete curb on Manchester Street in Concord and crashed on the (Manchester Street) Bridge, where the operator was taken into custody.”
No other vehicles were struck or damaged during the incident, she said.
A reader caught the arrest on camera.
Gabriel Lima, 24, of Lawrence, MA, was hospitalized with minor injuries. He was charged with disobeying an officer, operating without a license-subsequent, two felony reckless conduct counts, and three aggravated driving under the influence counts as well as two cross-a-median violations.
