CONCORD, NH — A woman from Massachusetts was charged with negligent driving on Sunday after being accused of rear-ending a New Hampshire State Police trooper cruiser.

Around 5:45 p.m., after snow and freezing rain around the state led to dozens of crashes, a state trooper was at the Interstate 93 Exit 14 southbound onramp in Concord, investigating a single-vehicle accident. While at the scene, a 2022 Nissan Rogue, driven by Rainice Lai, 31, of Dorchester, Massachusetts, “lost control and struck the rear” of the cruiser, Amber Lagace, a public information officer for the state police, said.

The trooper was seated in the driver’s seat of the cruiser at the time of the crash, she added.
