Mega Millions Drawing Crosses Over Half A Billion Dollar Mark

Tuesday's jackpot is estimated to be $541 million — with a one-time cash payout valued at $257.6 million before taxes.

CONCORD, NH — Mega Millions has again crossed over the half-a-billion-dollar mark, according to the New Hampshire Lottery.

Tuesday’s jackpot is slated to be $541 million. The one-time cash payout should be around $257.6 million before taxes.

On Friday, a $20,000 Mega Millions ticket was purchased at the Cumberland Farms on Gosling Road in Newington, the lottery said. The player matched four of the five winning numbers along with the Mega Ball number and won $10,000. The player also added a $1 megaplier which doubled the win to $20,000.

“There are more than half-a-billion reasons to get your ticket for Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing,” Charlie McIntyre, the executive director of the New Hampshire Lottery, said. “All of our Granite State players get excited about a jackpot this big. Mega Millions is drawn on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10:59 p.m.

There are more than 1,200 retailers in New Hampshire that sell lottery tickets. Games can also be played online at nhlottery.com.

During the past 60 years, the lottery has contributed more than $2.8 billion to public education in the Granite State.
