Mega Millions Expected To Surge To $458M: NH Lottery

If anyone wins Tuesday's drawing, it will be the fourth largest jackpot in the game's history.

CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire Lottery Commission announced on March 26, 2018, that the Mega Millions jackpot is expected to increase to $458 million by Tuesday, making it the fourth largest jackpot on record. No one has won since Jan. 5. Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 p.m. and tickets are on sale until 9:50 p.m.

“To have a $458 million Mega Millions jackpot – the fourth-largest in Mega Millions history – is absolutely thrilling for our players and our retailers, who are reporting significant sales increases,” Charlie McIntyre, the executive director of the New Hampshire Lottery, stated in a press release. “The anticipation is building for tomorrow’s drawing. I cannot think of a better time for a lucky player to become New Hampshire’s first Mega Millions jackpot winner.”

The largest Mega Millions jackpot in history was $656 million, which three winners from Kansas, Illinois and Maryland shared in March 2012, he noted.
