Mega Millions Jackpot Climbs To $1.1 Billion

The one-time cash payout is expected to increase to around $569 million before taxes. The odds of winning are one in 303 million.

CONCORD, NH — The Tuesday Mega Millions jackpot is expected to be more than $1.1 billion since there has been no winner since mid-October 2022, lottery officials said Monday.

There was no winner on Friday.

The jackpot was expected to be the fifth-largest jackpot in history and the third-largest Mega Millions jackpot.

The one-time cash payout could be as much as $569 million before taxes.

“More than $1.1 billion up for grabs,” Charlie McIntyre, the New Hampshire Lottery executive director, said. “Now we’re talking! McIntyre said since October, Mega Millions sales have approached $10 million and generated $5 million for education in the state. More than three-quarters of the sales in New Hampshire were in stories. Retailers have received nearly $400,000 in sales commission, he said.

The odds of winning are one in 303 million.
